Weekend & watercolors III
WoD = Wet on Dry
WoW= Wet on Wet
It's interesting that when I try wet on wet, usually I dilute colors more. It looks pretty and I think it works to set foundations over which I can keep painting. When I did the leaf with WoD technique, if something didn't look as I planned it to, it was harder to "fix" it, but I can totally see how starting with a wash and WoW and afterwards defining and detailing with WoD can help me get the result I want.
WoW is way more unpredictable than WoD. Even when it looks exactly as you want it while wet, the pigment will keep moving and reacting, so it sometimes looks very different when dry.
I think skies and things on the background will look good with WoW because it is less defined and pigmented (in my case at least).
Thank you teacher! :)
