Week 4

Week 4 - image 1 - student project

Week 1

I've had a lot of fun. Since I've tried digital art a few times and always ended up frustrated that is the most meaningful progress for this week. The instructions were easy to follow along and the shortness of the projects made it possible to squeeze them into my days more easily. It doesn't feel like such a monumental task to do one of them. I like my orange the most because it was so simple and effective, and it turned out so cute. Alpha lock might be my new favourite feature on procreate. I am looking forward to getting more confident and enjoying the new projects.

Week 2

I finally understood what blend modes do. Experimenting with them has been the most interesting this week because I always felt like my drawings were flat. It is getting better. I'll need more practice to remember what each one does. This week, I enjoyed drawing the acorn the most. I like the drawing style and the colours a lot.

Week 3

The snake was the most fun for me this week because I liked the style we used to draw it. The flat colours but with a strong contrast appeal to me. I looked forward the least to the mouse drawing because I didn't like the style at first glance, but it was also surprisingly enjoyable. It showed me that it's worth trying new things even if they don't look as fun to me. The use of the mask in it also seemed very useful.

Week 4

I never would have expected to have so much fun drawing a pair of socks, but it was my favourite project of this week and maybe overall. Animation never really interested me but I might have to look into it more if it gives me that much joy. I am thankful for everything I have learned. It was an amazing course and I hope I can apply everything I have learned in my own artworks from now on.
