Watercolor and Gouache Snowflakes
Following instruction from @willelliston to improve on basic brush skills and expression.
I did got back after taking the photo and used a harder eraser to get rid of the pencil lines. I noticed that I have things to work on...
1) Getting sharper, cleaner lines with my liner brush.
2) Using more colors. Just because an image is monochrome, doesn't ean I should only use one color.
3) I think it's nicer to use negative watercolor (not painting white areas), than using guache, but maybe it's because I need more practice.
Round 2:
I decided to practice some more, and I also remembered that I bought a liner brush a while back and then never used it! Ha! If anyone is interested, it's a 20/0 Silver Ultra Mini Liner 2422s. Below, I just slapped down some wash, let it dry, then practiced doing random lines with gouache and the liner brush. I think I can compentently create fine lines in watercolor now. Yay!
