Watercolor Love!

Watercolor Love! - student project

Part 1: Negative space using my pan set, salt, and india ink!

I was recycling some old watercolor paper so I decided to use the back side- water doesnt absorb in to the paper as well but I made do..

Space Atmosphere Print I am working on:

This first painting was all freehand because I didn't have masking fluid yet- Used some pulse and precision to paint the stars and added some white copic paint for details. I wanted a dark background so I used India ink mixed with watercolor and added sea salt to add texture to some indigo areas.

The Next painting is a work in progress, experimenting with Masking fluid, I think I am now going to paint  some color in some of the planets so I can use both paintings to make a repeating pattern.
