Thanks Malcolm Dewey for sharing this short tutorial on painting the sea. The sea fascinates me and I'd love to master painting it. I am fairly new to watercolours but attend a class every week. I have used a mix of Winsor and Newton Cotman pallets and some professional Winsor and Newton colours. I used ultramarine blue, aqua green, windsor blue (green shade) plus a few other random greens and blues!

I enjoyed using the masking fluid which is fairly new to me. I think the effect is really cool. I'd probably use a smaller point next time. Adding the yellow to the sky turned my sky green! Haha but I don't mind it. I'll probably try it again soon. 

I have a small frame on my buffet in the dining room and every time I paint something new on A5 paper it goes in there for the family to comment on!  I wonder how long it will take for someone to notice this one!😆
