This is amazing, Michael - the shadows on the buildings and the light you've left out are perfect. I find the only way to make the light 'pop' more is to make the surrounding areas darker, like the sky, darker parts of the windows, etc. Well done! -Darren

Thank you, I know how the reflections work in theory, but here the boats were also a bit too small to make it more interesting. 
It's ok, still need to think about how to make the buildings on the left more radiant. Maybe with more yellow?

Thanks for the course, the reference photo is fantastic. I have painted Venice a few times and have a different approach.&nbsp;The buildings on the left should be more radiant because they are in the light, but I have no idea how to do that.
