Hi there!

This is just a quick project (I will be uploading more photos later today with the rest of the presentation images, skechs, inspirations, ecc..).

I ended up creating a whole collection with 10 patterns. I used the half drop on the hero pattern and played with composition in the rest of the patterns.

Update:

 

This is the moodboard I create to have ideas about shape of the body, different kind of tails for the mermaid.

 

 

I have tried a lot of different tails but none of them I really liked, so I decided to go more simple, no curves (typical mermaid tale). And it ended up really nice cause when I put the two mermaids together I could add a star in the space between the 2 tails. It was a happy accident.

 

These are my first sketches when I was just deciding about the shapes.
