One of my favourite ways to sketch is using just a pen. This is mainly because I enjoy skethcing outside, and I am always in a rush especially because I am accompaied by my family. 

I also recently started carrying watersoluble graphite and a brush pen with me to do a quick wash. I found that these sketches can also act as my intitial sketch before I start painting, as it also helps me understand a scene. 

These sketches are meant to be small, quick, raw, with lots of wobbly lines and mistakes.
