Travel Panoramas
A few examples of panoramas created using different types of images and Projection Modes.
Helsinki, Finland

This panorama was created from a series of vertical images (captured using a 50mm lens) to include more vertical space and avoid distortions. A long image sequence ensured more precision whilst stitching. The Cylindrical projection mode was used to preserve the vertical lines in both the ship and the cityscape in the background.
King’s Lynn, England

This panorama was stitched together from horizontal images (shot with a 35mm lens at f/8) of a building that couldn't be captured in a single frame from the opposite side of the street. The result is a highly detailed architectural photograph, created using the Perspective projection mode. The image was then straightened using Lightroom’s Guided Transform tools.
Pirmasens, Germany

This panorama was created from a series of wide-angle photographs (24mm, f/13) to achieve an extreme, almost 180° field of view. The Spherical projection mode was used to accommodate the wide angle of the scene. Additional editing included straightening, lens correction, and aspect ratio adjustments to ensure the elements maintained their correct proportions.
Whitby, England

This panorama was made from zoomed-in photographs (88mm, f/8) for more detail and a cinematic composition. The Cylindrical projection mode helped preserve structure and proportions.
Tenerife, Spain

This panorama was created from zoomed-in photographs (70mm, f/13) to retain more detail than a single wide-angle shot could offer. The Cylindrical projection mode was used to avoid any distortions.
French Alps

This vertical panorama was created from a series of horizontal images (92mm, f/13) to capture a tall, detailed view of the mountain landscape. Shooting zoomed-in instead of wide-angle allowed for better rendering of texture, light, and detail. The Perspective projection was used, with further editing for colour, cropping, and aspect ratio to fine-tune the final result.
