Tiny Paintings

Tiny Paintings - image 1 - student project

Here are my tiny paintings. Everything ended up looking different, but I can see some ways I start view these to calculate what marks need making. Tried to paint more intentionally but still looked haphazzard. The marks brought some things together and showed me movement where I saw mostly blurs. So, this was adventurous, a bit rigorous and new for me. Squiggles. Dots. Blobs of Tim Holtz crayones. Posca Pens. I discovered I like to outline shapes or define them with markings inside them.

Thanks, Denise for being the kind of teacher who inspires exploring new styles and feels safe taking risks. Seven painted, but unfinished pieces remain. Unbelievably, these 4 were  a somewhat tiring effort. LOL!!
