The sheep are coming

This was one of the most enjoyable classes on Skillshare. I had a lot of fun, yet I learnt many new techniques and tips (like underpainting). After doing an initial little sketch to familiarise myself with the lamb shape, I couldn't stop painting. It was so enjoyable to see how the colours blended into each other. I liked the teacher's colour palette a lot, so I used those colours most of the time. Indeed, it was a great exercise to try out some new colour combinations and papers.

The sketch:

The first creation, I painted along with the teacher:

Then, I re-watched the whole class, while painting:

Created two cards featuring lambs:

Couldn't resist scribbling with the pen while testing some other colour combinations:

Thank you for this lovely class. As you can see, I had a lot of fun while practising. It was my first real experiment with salt. Not sure yet if i like it, the teacher shared some useful tips how to remove it. The next step will be to loosen up more, especially with the heads. :) It's definitely a great way to test out new colour combinations.
