Hello, fellow creatives! I hope you find inspiration to create your own challenge in this class.

Since my creative goals include filling my sketchbooks and incorporating more animal motifs into my work, my challenge is a way to practice both at the same time while inviting others to join. 

In this 7-day challenge to fill our sketchbooks we’ll get to know a few of the animals you’ll find in the African savanna. While I hope to see these creatures for myself in their native home one day, I’ve been able to meet them at my local zoo and they always leave me inspired to draw and paint! 🐘🌿

I’ve created 3 graphics to announce this challenge. Below you’ll find the entire copy for my slides (feel free to use this as inspiration for your own slides).

I decided to include some examples of the type of sketches and paintings I’ll be exploring during this week, as well as sources for animal reference photos, in my Instagram announcement post. (If you're seeing this before April 3 - come join my sketchbook challenge!)
