The Novoa

Hi there! I am starting my transition from becoming a solo freelancing to have an online studio, meaning I want to get bigger jobs. I am ready to expand my solo work and start helping more people which is a very scary business but I am also ready.
I am a woman vegan designer in Mexico city but I have been working online with different clients. In Mexico, you are not really accepted as a designer unless you have proven yourself outside the country and I would like to have the chance to work with my Mexican people, which is also why I also want to expand as a studio and not as a solo artist (it is easier to meet clients that way in Mexico). Finally, I am looking to have some more women on board cause the Mexico design scene is still pretty male dominant so it would be nice to have some woman power for sure!
However! I am having trouble finding my USP or I am a bit confused. My style is very quirky, colorful and minimalist and I want to focus on helping vegan startups or eco-conscious companies that care about the environment or that have a strong message to help the world.
Do you think that maybe putting the word “Vegan” into my USP might scare other potential clients? I am willing to work with nonvegan clients obviously but would also like to start focusing more on the first market. Anyway, here is my homework!
By the way, thank you for the class because it really helped me to clear my mind and have a place to start. It is definitely not easy to do this! But you made it easy and fun to comprehend.
PS I LOVEEEEE VOODOO DOUGHNUTS!!!!
USP:
The Novoa, is an online design studio for the vegan visionaries out there. We design, you change the world.
SUPERLATIVE
It is aimed to help vegan startups all over the world because it is online-based.
Important
Starting to focus on vegan brands will help everyone to create consciousness. I think people and brands are trying to be self-aware and trying to have less impact. Who doesn't want to help the environment for real?
Believable: It is because the vegan community is trying to make more products happen and I have seen a lack of designers that are actual vegans and have the ethical approaches the client has.
Memorable: I like the part where we design, you change the world because it implies we will take care of the design and branding while you take care of your cause.
Tangible: We already have a few vegans or eco-friendly clients that have told us what a difference it makes to have a vegan designer be part of the creative team because of the shared experiences we have.
THANK YOU SOO MUCH!!!!
The name Novoa is the street I grew up in, where I have my best memories.
PS: https://www.instagram.com/andrea.carrot/ that is my style, maybe not the muted, green eco friendly colors but I like working with bright and clean colors :D
