The Amazing Digital Monsters

(TADC x Monster AU)

Theme

1.       My protagonist(s) will learn to accept themselves for who they truly are. They’ll build up self-confidence to be the person they want to be without fear or worry.

2.     Each character will be transformed into different monsters by the secret Antagonist. This journey will teach them a new side they never knew they had. Learning from the mistakes to become their true selves so they can find the cure.

3.     While trying to put in the antidote to cure their Monsterification*, the confrontation with Semi-unabstracted Scratch and Kinger causes a Computer Malfunction. The result of it is Abel going into Limbo, Scratch putting into a dog kennel, Caine on the brink of permanent deletion, The digital world (including the Circus) is in ruins, and two circus members being infected by the abstraction viruses*; being controlled by Abel from beyond the “grave”.

4.      I enjoy Gooseworx’s TADC show in addition to (TADC artists Instagram as part of my comic inspiration process) Freakfest_Fixations and art_by_Ace_4’s comics I wanted to try it out myself. I am also going to incorporate the things I went through and still going through to make me the person I am today. Every ups, downs, in-betweens, mistakes, and  more In hopes I can continue to build more self-confidence as a person I want to be. I can use my project as a creative outlet for my feelings and emotions.

*The process of transforming into a specific kind of monster based on object/creature founded by recipient

* In my AU the Abstraction Virus will mimic the real abstraction, the only difference between them is that a regular abstraction is an Allegory for Suicide (Psychological brink) with a theoretical cure takes time to construct. The Abstraction Virus can be placed into the mind files of the characters (like the flu) and it can only be cured with an Anti-Virus software (like a vaccine or medicine).

Things are getting sunnier day by day after working tirelessly un-abstracting a few old friends. But when a mysterious villain is cooking up terrifying trouble for themselves and their home; New friends will help the circus discover who they are while having a scary good time.

Story

1.       Six new humans (3 girls & 3 boys) entered the circus for the first time in 3 years.

2.     When Ribbit is the first one to undergo Monsterification; the 6 new circus members must help her and teach her to control her powers. In addition, they’ll be helping the circus gang find the antidote while learning their new monstrously wild side of themselves.

3.     Each circus member will have new skills (ex: Kinger in Computer Science Advancement and Engineering). They will also get new powers depending on their Monsterification (Ribbit- camouflage, Kaufmo- shapeshifting, Gangle- Mummy wraps extension and sand manipulation, etc.). Jessie/Courtley and Jokester/Trickee will gain value of doing good; they can be Heroes and learn to be good guys while keeping their bone aesthetic (GOTG series finale).

4.      After Caine gave up the Blue AI (to be revealed) from his consciousness into the void he comes back for Revenge (with backup that will show up later). Bubble (agent of Blue AI) is in the shadow starting to change the circus world and the gang slowly. He transforms each member into monsters one by one as a punishment disguised as “fun adventure awards” so Abel can control them to capture Caine.

5.     For Beatrix Sapphire/Beatrice she, her boyfriend  Lupo/Wayne (Wolf), Clicker (Connor), Gaia Mugunghaw (Sonia), Jessie Heyna, Jokester, they will be part of the Circus Family. Lupo can finally be the one thing he always wanted to be but couldn’t do in the real world (Batwheels side): a hero, alongside his girlfriend and their friends. Jax will be more open about HER* identity and gain the one thing she should have gotten before coming into Circus: acceptance. Pomni and Jax become official and together with their family continue to grow and adapt to the next, new chapter in their lives.

Summary: After working tirelessly figuring how to un-abstract a few circus members; Caine and Kinger brought Queenie, Ribbit, Kaufmo, and Jax back! The circus gang’s days keep getting sunnier until a dark storm starts rolling in. Someone or something is stirring up trouble on their expansion home and bring 6 new humans into the circus! On top of that, the circus gang are undergoing a strangely scary change called Monsterification. Can these new humans show the gang that it’s okay to accept  all of yourself or will this mysterious villain give them a Monster Mash they’ll never forget?

Premise

1.       The Circus gang got a few old friends back from abstraction and now the adventure in other worlds gets better day by day (normal). Six new humans enter the circus after 3 years and they tell the others someone or something that lured them towards the headset (not normal). In addition, New worlds and portals showed  up that neither Caine nor the circus gang created; a little bit before the newcomers shows up (not normal 2).

2.     Right now, the circus is sunny with clear night sky to boot. Fun, laughter, joy, and chatter all the way with romance in the air for a certain Jester and Bunny. This is the calm before the big dark storm.

Cast

3.     The hero of the new humans will be Beatrix Sapphire; She’s a big fan of TADC show and has knowledge of both the show and Monsters from different media. Beatrix will be the only one who the most “Human” in terms of Complexion. The hero of the Circus gang will be Pomni; she’s the protagonist in the TADC and helps the newcomers adjust to the circus just like Ragatha did.

4.       The villain of this story will be Blue AI, the one Caine released into the Void. However, no one knows who the Blue AI really is but has two suspects; Abel or Bubble. The Blue AI  wanted revenge on Caine for getting rid of them in the Void (even though Caine apologized and felt sad to say goodbye to his friend) along with the circus gang for defying them while inside Caine’s head.

Catalyst

5.      Pomni, Jax, Kaufmo, Gangle, Zooble and Caine will transform into Monsters one by one through Monsterification. Queenie and Kinger become Mad Scientists*

6.       Pomni’s perspective: After her intense feelings for Jax almost  gotten the better of her and temperament  lash out on her friends* she runs away. Beatrix’s perspective: she steps up to help the circus gang learn to adapt to their new monster abilities. Helping them to accept a new part of themselves and not to be afraid of one’s true interpersonal feelings.

*Counts as Monsterification

* Each Monsterification will have different types of side effects depending on the monster species. For instance, In the case of Pomni before transforming into a Saimese Werecat she’ll become an angry person (like Gooseworx’s originally intended ) and her romantic feelings for Jax will blind her judgement. Other side effects besides behavioral changes and mood swings will include animalistic behavior, enhanced senses, itchiness, body aches, and tooth aches (were-creatures only but varies depending on the person themselves). But these side effects will eventually wear off after their first transformation (itchiness, body aches, and tooth aches) others will take a few days to weeks at best with treatments (training, therapy, medicine, etc.).

Training Sequence

7.       The circus gang will need to learn how to control their new monster side and the powers that came along with it. The newcomers will learn how to work together despite being on different teams in the real world. They’ll develop conjuring skills and unlock the monsters inside of them.

8.      TADC cast can conjure things alongside the strengths they have (ex. Pomni’s gunslinger, Kinger’s computer science and imagination, Zooble’s level-headed thinking, etc.). Newcomers will have gadgets (Clicker), Acrobatics + flexibility + Agility (Beatrix), Seismic senses (Gaia), Hammer + Agility (Jessie), Pranks + gags summoning/improvability (Jokester). Their strengths will be the skills they have the world to current circus time and going forward.

9.      The journey they’ll be going on will be physical (adapting their new forms and learning more about themselves they never knew before). It’ll also be Mental (self-growth and self-acceptance).

Hurdle(s)

10.   Each adventure(s) the heroes go on the villain will use their powers to conjure cursed objects or creatures to begin Monsterification. The hero(es) will be stopped when the villain controls the circus gang through Monsterification and carries out their sinister scheme (capturing Caine, punishing the gang, and taking over the Digital Circus World).

11.    The hero of the newcomers (Beatrix) will feel discouraged when she faces failure in the Circus. She’ll start questioning about her place in the circus. Pomni will be sad for Beatrix because she too went through a similar ordeal (ep 9).

12.  Beatrix took time for herself looking at the night sky in the stargazing room. Pomni gave a heart to heart talk with Beatrix about the struggles they both shared. Lupo comes in and expresses his feelings to Beatrix after Pomni talks to her and gives them a moment to themselves.

Failure

13.  Caine and Kinger were so close in launching the antidote from the USB drive created by the file cards they found through their adventures to cure their monsterifcation when the computer they’re working on got a nasty virus. The Blue AI went into Limbo but not before giving one last trick from beyond the “grave”. With the worlds in ruins, computer and USB gone, access to the Cloud for the antidote unreachable; chances of curing Monsterification are very slim.

14.   When Beatrix notices Blue’s NPCS and another mysterious figure are heading towards the Big Dark Top where Kinger, Queenie, and Caine are working on curing the gang. Each adventure the gang found clues that the Blue AI was coming and the identity of it.

Lesson

15.  After reaching her lowest point when embedded with a virus that is related to abstraction; Pomni and Beatrix got help from Jax and Lupo to fight back against the virus. Pomni told Beatrix she reminds her of herself from the past to now and that she can rise like she did once. 

Climax

The Caine and Kinger were able to get the anti-abstraction virus software from the Blue AI but unfortunately only one person can be able to use it, even if they can make a new it’ll take time the one thing they don’t have. Beatrix offered this to Pomni telling her that she inspired her to keep on going, to embrace yourself for who you are and that’s why if she’s going down, she’s taking the Blue AI with her. Beatrix plans to use both the Abstraction and Abstraction virus to take down the villain so even if they’re not destroyed it’ll leave them with no power but it is uncertainty if she’ll make it out or not. Thus, Beatrix made an ultimate sacrifice to save her new home, her (old) new friends, and her new family but no one sees her come back they believe she’s gone.

Denouement

16.   Pomni embraced her werecat side with open arms and decided to keep it; the gang followed her lead. Beatrix saves the Digital world but have “abstracted” scars ( her “Monsterfication” to be discussed further) due to the virus she still had when Blue put it on her and Pomni but uses it to sacrifice herself to defeat the villain to save her home and family. She liked her new look because it not only makes her real self in the human world, but it shows how strong she is, giving off Dr. Jekyll /Mr. Hyde vibes (like her best friend’s boyfriend in the real world), and it looked badass.

17.    The World has expanded with new locations to explore. Even the NPCs under Blue’s control are now becoming more self-aware and living the lives they wanted.

Chapter Structure

These are just rough drafts of the episode names until I can decide which names will be the perfect fit for my comic series. For now, I will work on my TADC AU S2 E1 as part of the project until I can get more of a grounded structure. If there is any TADC Fans/Artists who a familiar in Comic making and/or Funnybunny Comics I would appreciate some feedback on my idea thus far.

Season 2 Ep 1: Greetings Old friends, Welcome New Friends/New Fishes in the Water

·        Premise- It has been over a month since Kinger and Caine were able to un-abstract Jax, Kaufmo, Ribbit, and Queenie the whole gang spends a day at the beach! While swimming in the Lake looking for Ragatha’s button eye once again, Pomni and Ribbit searches the underwater world to find it. While searching for it, Ribbit stumbles upon a magical green pearl and has decided to keep it. Little does Ribbit know that this pearl while looks beautiful on the outside holds something nasty inside of it that’ll literary change her life forever. The Green Pearl is not the only surprise the gang faced today because on the stage something SO BIG is happening that’ll hit you like a tidal wave.

·        Catalyst: The moment Ribbit found the Green Pearl, its magic slowly changing Ribbit and neither she nor the gang had noticed it yet. On top of that, Caine got a notification on his wacky watch that there is a strange force happening at the Stage (something that hasn’t happened for 3 years).

·        Training: The newcomers, scared, confused, excited, and intrigued by the circus, decided to look around and explore (After Caine told them about their real life human counterparts). Each newcomer learns how to conjure things thanks to Kinger and with encouragement from their new friends discovering what each new individual abilities the newcomers have.

·        Hurdle: But when they were on their way to meet Ribbit something strange is happening to her; dry skin that needs to be moisturized all the time, 24/7 fish cravings, piranha-like teeth, and fish like fins growing on her body. Her monsterification has blinded her mind and heart she can’t tell friend from foe; everyone tries to help Ribbit but to no avail. While Jessie and Jokester don’t want to get involved in the situation but Gaia, Clicker, and Beatrix want to help her; Lupo is caught between his teammates and the girl he loves and his friends can’t decide what to do. But seeing Ribbit on a monstrous rampage causing mischief to remind him of himself when he first transformed into a werewolf, he knows what to do.

·        Lesson: Don’t let anyone peer-pressure you into doing things that you don’t want to do. Do what you believe is right regardless of what others say about it, because by the end of the day its your choice.

·        Denouement: Now that Ribbit is calm down with the Green Pearl contained, she apologizes for the trouble she caused. However, because she touches the pearl she transformed into a Sea Monster Frog and now needs to figure out how did this happened. Not to mention figure out how to undo it  but the million dollar question is where did that Green Pearl come from and who or what planted it underwater.

Orange: Required further development on characters themselves to better understand who they are in the Circus world and whether add them to my comic.

Green: Officially confirmed writing that will be part of my comic with minimum to no change whatsoever.

Blue: Defining a new word that is part of the comic for better clarification
