The 0.5 artist Color Palette

The 0.5 artist Color Palette - student project

As an artist with daltonism I am always strugling with colors. But I love colors and the feelings they can make us feeling.

My name is Anna and for this class I create a unique color palette for the business I am building. I will open an Etsy shop with printable art for personal crafting or gifts, for stationery, scrapbooking, art and junk journal.

Here you can see my moodboard and the colors I cull from the board. I use Adobe Photoshop.

It was really hard for me to categorize the colors as primary, secondary and neutrals. Color blindness is not allow me to do this. So, I just builded some color palettes mostly following your advice to give a job to every color. Here is my result:

Then I test my fav color palette using a method I learned from an other class here on Skillshare:

And then, I ended with a limit color palette. I have one light color, 3 middle tone colors and 3 dark colors. This is my final palette:

Then I created my own samples board to see if my palette is cohesive and if I like the feeling it creates. I used the tone of my business, my tagline, my logo, a pattern, some other elements and samples of the color palette. This is it:
