Thank You Card
I'm currently working on a greeting card design that was stumping me a little bit, so I decided this would be a good opportunity to start over. :)
The card will say:
You said it was nothing, but it was everything. Thank you.
Update (1/27):
I slept on it, and then changed everything.
It was feeling off to me in the area of the words – like it was all floating and had no anchor. So I brought back in the background blob shape from my sketches & kept playing around with color.
I THINK I'm calling this done. What do you think of the changes? :)
Update (1/26):
Working out color is never my favorite part! Here's what I've got for now. :)
The places where I had to do the most revision were in the words Everything & Thank You. I may do some more adjusting before I call it truly final, but it's shaping up pretty well.
Update:
I'm pretty happy with the lettering & have the background roughed in. Need to finalize that & move to color.
Pencil Sketch for Inking:
After some back & forth and adjusting, this is where the sketch stands now. There are still some adjustments to be made & I've changed my mind a tiny bit on how I'll handle the background, but those will be figured out after I've gotten the lettering inked.

I'll be moving forward with this sketch:
