Here are my tests with some Tombow watercolor brush pens and my water brush. 

There is less water with these, so I needed to add water to see a result with the big rock of salt. But I added too much water, thus the pattern looks like cauliflowers!

Also, I used washi tape instead of masking tape.

I really like discovering working with plastic wrap and alcohol. Thanks for the course!
