Thank you for another inspiring class! I thoroughly enjoyed watching and listening to you. I especially appreciated your thoughts on bad paintings and sketchbooks, and I couldn’t agree more.

I primarily paint wet-on-wet in a realistic style, so this project was quite outside my comfort zone. That’s one of the reasons I decided to push through with it, but it’s also why I chose a different reference. I understand that these classes aren’t focused on naturalistic representation, but working without a reference was very challenging for me. Your classes offer me a fresh perspective and an opportunity to play around with color and dynamics. So, I decided to adapt the style of your painting to another reference and just had fun with it. Looking forward to another class of yours :)!
