How many seeds can there be? A lot. The answer is a lot. 

Wow what a project!! I can't believe I was able to paint this!

Thank you so much for showing me the way. You're right, looking at this at first I thought, how do you even begin? This painting was an exercise in patience, observation and meticulousness. Every seed, crevice, highlight, curve and shadow had to be carefully carved out. I was constantly getting lost. Eventually I had to keep one finger on the reference photo as I painted to keep track of which seed I was on because looking up then down, I was like, wait which seed was it?! 

That being said, the result of the hard work is something that looks so real! My favourite part is the light hitting the underside of the strawberry, it looks so... magical! I also learned lots about lifting the paint. Something I've never really done before, but realise what a useful technique it is. Particularly if you don't want to use white gouache. I struggled most with the leaf, for some reason my paint was not lifting as easily nor as precisely as it was on the tutorial, so it looks... unconvincing?...  Either way, what fun, thanks again, new skills unlocked!
