I’m enjoying the viscosity. I really wasn’t expecting to like them so much. I love that I can paint with my kids in the same room. I did have a question. Do you recommend glazing much with this type of oils? I work really thick in my work but have seen other artists use a much thinner consistency.

Though I have never tried a glazing with water mixables, I do think it is possible. There are water mixable oil mediums that you could use that would work in the same manner as traditional oils. You would create a thinner underpainting by using water to dilute the paint and then once it is dry you add the transparent layers (oil paint mixed with oil mediums) overtop.  With glazing you have to let each layer dry before adding on a new layer. You can also just choose to work a little thinner with the water mixable oils too, working in layers with added water instead of oil medium and blending the colours together for a smoother look. it would have a more opaque quality rather then the glossy transparent look of glazing. That is the great thing about working with these oils, they have so much versatility. Lots to explore! You can also use regular oil medium with water mixable oils, however, the paint will loose it's water mixable qualities.
