Stepping out of my comfort zone
Today I started a new and more ambitious project : a watercolour chrysanthemum painting.
This is new territory for me, working with a more complex subject. It's a real step up from where I've been lately. But that's exactly why I chose it.
Here is my first wash. Nothing finished, nothing perfect, just a beginning. And honestly? I'm proud of it. Getting this first layer down felt like crossing a threshold.
But I'm a little scared of what comes next. The layers, the details, the risk of losing it all at some point. But I've decided to go all the way with this one, fear and all.
Because that's the whole point, isn't it? Not just making art but learning to trust the process even when you can't see where it's going yet. 🌿
