This is such a beautiful image to paint with wonderful colors! It was a challenging project, but fun to do and well worth the time spent. My brush for the veins didn't hold much paint and was taking forever to paint a line, so I cheated a little by using a sharpened watercolor pencil and then went over it with a small brush with water. I learned a lot from this class especially about layering and mixing colors.  I was able to see  how you can layer two colors that would normally become muddy if mixed together on a palette, but have them look great layered on paper.
