I watched this in one afternoon and did all the sketches the same day, and I feel like I made a lot of progress even in those few hours!

The pencil hold was very interesting, I needed some time to get used to it, but it really made a difference. It was much easier to correct things this way, and to work fluidly.

I never really worked with coloured pencils before, but I really liked them for these portraits & layering them! 

Did two more today. I liked the first one, but then decided to try again with just blue & red and I liked that one better:
