This was a really fun project.  I made it into a Christmas card which is kind of small, so I had to leave some details out.  I decided to paint the wings instead of using the cut-out ones and I picked colors that would go with my Christmas gift tags that I made in another class. I also went with an ink pen outline on my drawing before painting because all the details were so very tiny.

I think I will probably try painting this again, larger and with the little cut out fairy wings, maybe after the holidays.  It just looks so cute with the 3-D wings, and I can't resist making another one for myself to keep.  Maybe I'll even try to make one for each season, that sounds like a fun personal project.

I didn't like the lettering, and I thought the card looked a little plain around the illustration, so I added some acrylic paint marker around the illustrations and changed my lettering.  I'm pretty happy with it overall, and I love my plump little fairy.
