Another super fun class.
Having drawn the lion freehand referring to the photo, I ended up sticking more and more towards the photograph than the tutorial painting. I did however, use very similar techniques and steps.
I'm happy I used a large paper but a bit annoyed by the paper itself. The more I use SaundersWaterford Rough the less I like it. The mane didn't quiet flow as I wanted it to and in haste I went a bit broader and darker than I'd planned.
I do like the outcome though and I happy I've reached a stage where I can add my own twist to all your classes.
