Secrets of Drawing Class
Ok, so the title image is a collage of the still life images from pinterest that I used for these drawings.
Now below... :/ I wrote info next to each drawing. Obviously I turned my cheap 8 & 1/2" x 11" Sketchbook on it's side, just thought I wanted to have more space. I wanted my notes from class to be in front of me to pay better attention to them...... buuuuuuuuuut..... as you can see from the drawing times I wrote, I had a VERY hard time with the 2min thing :)
I had such a hard time with 2min!!! Clearly I couldn't seem to stop at 2min. On #1, I got going and forgot about the '2min' max. :/ And then I seemed to find it impossible on the other 2 as well :) aahahahahahahahaha!
So, I tried again and stuck to the 2mins.... I could feel my heart pounding trying to rush :)
But it's definitely something I'll be putting more practice into. To work on letting go, not always feeling like everything has to be finished, since I'm practicing, I need to do what you said and be happy with quick practice and not stressing that things aren't more finished... because otherwise I end up thinking I need a reason to draw a fully done drawing, like for a gift, otherwise I'm selfish to take the time, but then there's pressure to finish something fully, so then I figure it'll never be good enough and talk myself out of it all together :/ So, I'll be working on this for sure.
I'm using a super old laptop to add this pic, so the screen makes it look so washed out that it's hard to see. I know graphite can be hard to see, even when it seems like my 2b makes some semi dark marks. So, i'm sorry if it's tp pale to see well :/
Thanks so much for this class!!!
