Saying Farewell to Summer

Saying Farewell to Summer - image 1 - student projectI know Hannah's going to miss Summer nights in her backyard with Mom and Dad in a tent now that the weather is getting colder. I can tell she loves camping just by the little details she added into her piece. Dad is an amazing bonfire and campfire builder and she gets the smoke aspect of her campfire for sure!

Saying Farewell to Summer - image 2 - student projectHannah's Mom captured the darkness of the night scene that "one of us" forgot about in their piece. I love the sheen on the rocks and the many colors that one can get lost in when sitting by and gazing into a campfire.

Saying Farewell to Summer - image 3 - student projectKinda used Peter Max kinda colors which sorta conflict with the night sky...unless I had made the moon a full moon. I made a point to put red and orange in the campfire cuz in Kindergarten my teacher told us orange and red don't go together. Later on in life I learned that if you want to know if colors go together go outside and see what colors Mother Nature puts together. She's the true authority and obviously didn't have my kindergarten teacher giving her color advice. Thank you again, Ms Em! Another captivating lesson and project!
