Romanian woman
Hello! I'm Ana from Romania. I choose a Romanian from my country because when I started the research, I found so many women that were globally recognized and the first in their domain of choice.
For example, we have the first woman aviator, record-breaking at parachuting, Simona Braescu; the first woman Engineer in the World Eliza Zamfirescu; the first female neurosurgeon in the world Sofia Ogrezeanu; the first woman lawyer in the world with a Doctorate in Law, Samiza Bilcescu; First World War hero Ecaterina Teodoroiu; the first woman architect in the world Virginia Andreescu -Haret with numerous awards; a woman rights activist Sofia Nadejde; and so on.
In my research, I found about 25-30 Romanian women human rights activists and lawyers and artists and aviators and scientists who were the first in their domain, either in the world or in Europe.
I personally choose Cecilia Cutescu to draw for this project, she was a painter and the first woman in Europe to be a university professor of Arts, she had numerous exhibitions in Europe and also created mural wall art in public buildings.
I like to draw and paint by hand and digitally, so because I like her style, it seems appropriate to choose her for my project.

This is a small reproduction from one of her paintings, the view from her family's house, which I want to integrate with the portrait.

This class seemed interesting but for me, it became way more challenging than I thought it would be, I put a lot of time and effort into it, and I really like it. I also did the exercises.
This is the portrait of Cecilia:
