I enjoyed painting this winter scene and am reasonably pleased with the result. I particularly enjyed painting the water can and learning how to create the texture of galvanised iron and contrast between light and shadows. I did not have any granulation medium but am still very pleased with how the water can has turned out. I am also pleased with the holly leaves and berries but do not really like my robin. I will practise how to paint a fluffier rounder robin and re paint the scene. 

I went for a different background as I wanted a softer look to my painting.
