Reductive Monoprint: Mums
Reductive monoprint - who knew? Not I, until I watched this class this morning. Gemma's teaching style is so full of joy and enthusiasm that I couldn't wait to give this a try.
I have a bunch of pieces of plastic that came in curtain panels I bought. I rolled my ink out onto one of these and it worked quite well. I used regular printing ink by Speedball and a 4" Speedball brayer. I used a piece of cardboard, some Qtips and a tissue to manipulate the ink and printed onto thicker printer paper that is very smooth.
I didn't roll out enough ink on my first try, but the second run worked perfectly. I'm excited to do some more of these! Thanks for a great class, Gemma!
