Recicled bag from denim and umbrella fabric

Recicled bag from denim and umbrella fabric - student project

I had an old denim pant and a broken umbrella that I wanted to upcycle. I was searching for different alternatives like clothing or household object, but when I first watched this class, I finally decided to make a bag with the materials I had.
Here are the results:

The bag is a bit different from the original, I haven't used interfacing because the denim fabric is thick. I also sewed the zip differently, I've added a denim strip to hide the zip fabric. And lastly, I've decided to make the handles of the bag with two materials.

This is by far the most difficult sewing project I've done so far. I am really proud of what I managed to do, and I enjoyed the process despite the difficulties I had.
