I used permanent rose, cobalt blue, transparent yellow and some neutral tint. I used a photo of my grand-daughter and then went wild with the hair. Wish I had not used so many colors in the hair to make it "more simple".  12x24  First time using Canson watercolor paper. I noticed I have to be very gentle with that paper or it will "bead up" a spot that has to be picked off "like lint". It's inexpensive, but doesn't have the "beautiful spread of color" that Arches has. I haven't showed the portrait to my grand-daughter yet. Not sure she will like it - probably not. Ha! Ever onward.
