This is stunning! Did you use a reference?

Yes, I used Turbo Squid and Sketch Fab (3d sites). They have free 3d generic mannequin previews that can be rotated and posed. I sketched thumbnails of different angles before coming up with the final poses and then combined everything. This worked for the hats/caps too. I also created/modified two brushes. I used to go around and paint windows for Christmas - so the colors were the easy part. Altogether, Procreate tracked 53 hours on this project.

Thanks for answering! I'm not familiar with those programs, so it sounds as if you created your own reference...amazing. You painted windows for Christmas? Were you commissioned to do Christmas scenes? It sounds fascinating to me. Have you ever considered teaching a class in this?

Yes, I was paid to paint/decorate the windows of local businesses. I am still teaching "at risk" youth and adults for the county, but maybe when I retire in a few years I will teach a class on SkillShare.
