How incredible!! I mean, I was here for the tutorial and here for the painting but I still don't know how we got here?! 

Thank you a million Will for sharing this. I've got to admit, I've watched a few of your tutorials before but I never had the courage to paint one, I didn't think I could do it. But today I plucked up the courage and gave it my best shot. So glad I did! 

One of my practice goals was trying to soften edges like you, the way you do it is masterful. I got it in some parts but not so much in others. So tricky, sometimes there'd accidentally be too much water on the brush and I'd push the paint away instead of leading it, frustrating to say the least. 

And also, I can't say I'm not bothered by that shoulder! It's like a blotch of moss. The more I tried to recover it, the more of a mess it became. Any way to save it?! I tried lifting it... then covering it... then lifting it.... yikes

Favourite part though, and what attracts me to all of your tutorials is your use of colour. Are we not all in love with the kaleidoscope of colours in the hair?! It's magnificent! I can't get over it. And the contrast between precision and expression, hard edges and soft edges. And this girl's serene expression combined with that riot on her head! Stop it, I can't! 

Thanks again Will, this has been such a joy to learn from. One day, I'll be able to figure out how to paint something like this on my own!
