After a few days I rewatched a segment of your class and worked on this again. I like it better though it still doesn’t thrill me. Any ideas?

So…..This painting leaves me feeling ho-hum. It looks flat and uninteresting but I’m at a loss as to what to do to make it more interesting. Landscapes have always been a challenge for me. I seem to get lost i.e. I get to a certain stage and don’t know how to proceed. Help!  : )

First I want to say yay! I was excited to find your class published today and I just had to dive right in.
I wasn’t sure if I’d like the orange background so I’m posting both. I did some dry brush on the orange wash to give it some interest . It looks more orange on the actual painting which I prefer. Enjoyed it and am looking forward to the rest. Any feedback is always appreciated. Thanks Ron : ) !
