Thank you so much for your detailed feedback. Sorry that the 3rd photograph didn’t upload. I’m just getting back into photography after a long absence so your positivity is very motivating! And I found the tool allowing autorotate on the computer. Thank you again!

Sylvia, thank you for submitting these excellent examples of depth of field, and motion blur. In order:- an aperture of f:4 was plenty wide to send the background of the room, as well as some of the rear flowers, out of focus. This forces the eye to concentrate on the super sharp flower in the lower right (which nicely sits at a rule-of-thirds intersection). Having the accentuated bit of dappled light hitting that flower and its leaves adds to emphasis that - this is where to start - when viewing the image. Overall it is nicely composed and a great example of why narrow depth of field is a wonderful technique for floral studies.- I rotated the Megalith upright here for viewing. Like the flower in the previous image, the subject rock sits in a rule of thirds spot, in this case with the added benefit of leading (and smooth) lines, from the supporting wall, drawing the eye to the roughly hewn megalith. The otherwise mono-tonal subject matter is (thankfully) set off by the crisp blue sky. You might consider experimenting with this image in black-and-white, as well. As far as the incorrect rotation on uploading, that means the metadata embedded in the image is dictating that orientation. Rotating using photo apps does not always actually re-write this metadata. In that case the only way to make certain the orientation is embedded is to "Save as...", and overwrite the original, or add a "1" or "b" after the name if you don't want to overwrite the original. Additionally, go into your camera's settings (setup menu, options, or wrench icon?) and look for "Auto Rotate"; choose On - Computer, if it is currently Off).- I don't see #3 here, but for #4, love the bus!  The word "Rapid", and red color, adds to the overall effect. This is a great example of motion blur, panning the camera along with a moving object using a slow shutter speed. IMHO, don't be too concerned about having perfect focus on the bus. If you look at enough of this style of photography, you'll notice that the central subject is often not -exactly- sharp. Our brains fill in the difference because the surrounding is so blurred in motion, and the very slight blur of the bus accentuates the movement in the photo. When the central subject is perfectly sharp/still in a photo like this it can look faked. Thanks so much for sharing these photographs for everyone to view, Sylvia.
