I'm fascinated by Japanese yōkai!

Lots of errors here. The biggest mistake is using too thick a layer of Posca markers to create the yōkai's face. I inadvertently gave her a mask of sorts ... which wasn't so bad. 

"A rokurokubi is a Japanese yōkai (apparition) that appears as an ordinary human by day but has the ability to stretch its neck to incredible lengths or detach its head at night. Cursed due to past sins or misdeeds, these creatures often haunt, terrify, or attack people, sometimes drinking lamp oil or blood." -- Google.

Here are some more experiments and textures. I wish you could see the shimmer and subtle gradations in the pink ovals. This is a happy mess of acrylic, matte gel medium, and Ph Martin's  ink. I'm using their irridescent calligraphy color in "nickel". My favorite color! It tends to get thick, though, if you're not careful - so shake it well. It has a lovely gleam.

That pink thing is supposed to be a sun. Alas, I think you can see why there is a bit of a humorous error here. Oops.
