Thanks Joanna I wanted translucent skin but instead got lots of make up. I had what i felt was too much texture with thre colored pencils and used a magic eraser to smooth, that didnt work out. 

Excellent detail, Kris, and I love her hair. Like the sparkle in her eyes too :)

Thanks Carmen, You should definatel go for it. Gemma's classes are always well done and informative. I forgot the patience required for colored pencil work. I was tired and wanted to finish when I should have just left the hair for another day. I started to play with my electric eraser and got some fun lines through her hair giving it a different texture. I think I like watercolor portraits with colored pencil detailing. I also struggle with paper with little tooth. This is bristol vellum paper and it is slick and smooth and tough, allowing for layering. I think I'll try a tinted pastel paper and do her over again.

I still think is beautiful. I have tried a few of her classes . Want to try the lion. She doesn't provide any feedback so I won't mind if comes out badly!
