Poetry Clothing Catalog Figure-w-Lines

Poetry Clothing Catalog Figure-w-Lines - image 1 - student project

My husband was so impressed when I asked him to chose side 1 or 2 from a Poetry catalog. He liked the red dress better, but did he want to buy it for me from Poetry? Not so much.

I did so much line-work before I cut Ms Red Dress out! That was well worth the effort. A couple hours invested, and the glue was applied. I looked at her alone on a blank page of watercolor paper. Felt daunted. OK, I'd start with some pencil lines. Also woth the effort. Lines looked fine, but fear set in about the magic markers.

Onward! And on and on and on. Until the last sunshine and moon were above her! TA-DA!

Loved the challenges this posed along the pathways. Excellent project, Elisabeth, but it pushed me, and that felt like a good stretch!

PS Gorgeous catalog. (Don't know how I got on their mailing list.) The graphic design is stellar, like one item modeled per page.  i'd even say each page is visually poetic. Until you get to the price.  They prob have a website.
