Thanks for a great class! My husband and I traveled along the Northern California coastline, as well as Southern Oregon, and we saw a few beautiful lighthouses. I brought a small travel set of Van Gogh paints, a pencil, eraser, water cup, and some Micron markers. Although I made some goofs on this painting, I didn't have time to address them as I had to get it in the mail - it is a little postcard I wanted to send to my two granddaughters. But it was a gorgeous day and although I didn't render the picture exactly, it was a relaxing thing to paint. I did learn one thing - I need to remember to pack white gouache for touchups and other potential white details. I also need to do much more of this, i.e., painting from real life.
