Wonderful class by Will. I initially watched the class, then painted along with a second viewing. I wasn't happy with my result so painted a second time "from memory" at my own *snail* pace.

I have done only a few landscapes and have zero confidence in my ability to paint them. Because of this, I simplified the project a bit, and changed the background a bit. I used Arches and DS paints. If I repeat the project I might try a less granulating blue and study some photos of snow so I can replicate the textures and forms more effectively.

This scene is very much like the

area where I live (we have tons of snow, cold, and bald eagles).  This area is very special and peaceful to me, I love to view and photograph the eagles so had to add to my painting!

This was a very challenging class for me, but the challenge zone is where the learning and growth happen! Thank you Will for your wonderful and thoughtful instruction!
