Pancake Party
After #Blizzard2016, who doesn't want to stay in and have an all-you-can-eat pancake party?! For this shoot I used my new Christmas present camera, a Canon EOS 5D Mark III (I'm way too excited about this) and my trusty 50mm 1.8F lens. For food and props, I pretty much used what I had around the house and could mock-up relatively quickly. My New Years goal is to learn how to use my new purchase, so I've challenged myself to complete a photography class and project everyday for the next month. This is day #2 :)
I like my photos to have a sort of dreamy/moody effect to them, so I would like to figure out how to get my "white" backgrounds whiter. It looks sort of gray in these photos, but I couldn't get the background lighter without blowing out the white bowl in the foreground. And, ugh...that honey jar is bugging me...should've been moved slightly to the left.
I tried to catch the drips of the honey as they oozed over the pancakes...
I used my iPhone for this one...I wish I had sprinkled some coconut flakes around the top right of the image. I feel that area is just lacking in interest.
