I cannot believe I painted this! seriously, the process was really well explained and I followed the instructions carefully.

I really enjoyed this class.  The fact that I trace the photo and not have to worry about my drawing skills, took a lot a pressure out of the equation.  All the portraits have the right proportions and I just had to think about painting.  One less thing to worry about. Great!

With every portrait painted, I understand the process better.  It is such a challenge to capture the skin tones volume and shadows.  I am loving the journey.  I will continue to practice.  I am still very inconsistent with the shadows, either heavy handed or too shy with the pigment and I gave my ladies above a black eye, and the little boy could have used more yellow, but I was afraid my yellow was too warm, so I used buff titanium instead.  I'll do one more portrait and I'll upload the picture...

Here it is, I still need to understand how not to muddy my colors... I think I need to do more value studies.
