This is still a beautiful piece with some lovely movement and ease. It is frustrating when the background doesn't quite work out, isn't it! But I would imagine you haven't been bold enough with the paint. You really have to go for it, and don't forget some days we just don't feel quite in the vibe, it's worth having another bash at it another time. Remember, if you don't get enough strength with those otters on the first layer. Add another, which could easily be done to these guys as well.

I actually like your background. Has great texture. Otters are cute.

I used Magnani paper from Italy and DS Undersea Green and Cobalt Blue for the background.  I did the background 3 times with different paints and each time it came out with blooms with just adding salt so I gave up.  I found this project a great idea and hard to do and I'm not sure why.  Thanks for the class, Jane!
