This has a very charming appeal in both color and line. I especially like the mid-ground hills as they sweep across the landscape.The strong yellow on this hill makes it the star of the show. Yellow is the first color that the eye registers, hence yellow warning signs, school buses,etc. Look at the picture again and see, that all you see now, is that yellow hill. You will definitely want to do our next class 'Design with Picasso" It's all about design with line and color. Placement of right background hill meets the 'right placement rule (measurement) for the rule of thirds. Staying away from the middle is a good choice. Mid-ground hill follows the same rule and places well just off centre. Fence posts are spaced unequally giving variation and interest. Excellent diagonal with blue sky strokes near horizon.There is a great balance of big, little, and small, lot's of interest. Purple or violet is very friendly with green and orange. The soupy consistency is probably your choice of pigment. Cobalt blue and alizarin crimson are very good purple partners. Ultramarine and alizarin work well also. Your purple looks like a dioxazine purple derivative. Although it is intense it fades and can be pasty which will give you a pasty and soupy consistency. When friends get together they make better colors. Avoid buying pre-made secondary colors with names like purple, orange, green. Buy colors with primary names, mix them, and your colors will sing clear. I have cleaned up you picture's edges and gave it a white balance. Post it and share it.
