Great work ^^ I think you just need practice, it already looks very beautiful. When you are usually used to watercolor/wet paint, colored pencils can be tricky at first because they need sooo much patience, and sometimes layer after layer, to get a consistent blend and color. And you have to start super light to not get too dark too soon. I love the strawberries, they look really realistic! Maybe you would benefit from drawing one single strawberry as detailed as possible, slightly oversize to be able to get all the details in!  Pozdrawiam :) Oh, and you asked about techniques I have not mastered yet - soo many! Almost all, except the ones I practice very regularly, and even with those 1000 things are still there to be learned :D

oh this is where you can add our conversation from Instagram, about trying many things. I think some small exercises like painting a strawberry would be enough. It was too much hahaha. I don't want to go for crayons but I bought so many of them once that I want to use them. I also have dry pastels and oil pastels that are over 20 years old hahhah. Thank you for your kind words. I think that despite everything my ambition suffered during these classes, but it's okay now. I wanted to reach my goal too quickly, ściskam :)

Hi Beata!!I think you did great!! As others said, those strawberries are especially lovely! Actually all your bits of fruit are lovely! So maybe your hands were saying "I want to draw (then eat) more fruit please!!!"your super brave and it came out so cute! I have some colored pencils that I'll try, esp If stuck in bed. But, mostly  I drive myself crazy. Takes practice like anything. I adore graphite, and the water soluble one too, lots of fun! Same orth my occasional use off my watercolor pencils, fun &amp; useful sometimesOh and I'm totally jealous of your are pastels by the way!!Hope you're doing well!!

Hi! yea, I've wanted to be on, but this has been - just the hardest year, in every way. My health has gone downhill significantly along with no work for a year now. We've been, since March or April, trying to sell everything we can and rest goes to our local thrift store. As well as moving and because of our health it's slow motion - mentally &amp; physically we'll both done, but SO much more to do

I think you are being too hard on yourself. This is wonderful! I especially like how you made the caramel looks so gooey, and the strawberries look realistic and juicy. Well done, Beatrycze!!!

Looks like a yummy ice cream sundae with fruit, whip cream and my favorite caramel sauce, so you definately captured all of that!  Horray for giving something new a go.  I struggle with colored pencils too.  1st my hand gets tired and I can’t seem to blend them .  I love the highlights you captured on the strawberries and the whip cream and caramel sauce make my mouth water! I also think your glass container turned out really transparent :):)

Diana thank you very much for your kind words. I worked hard on this drawing, I think... I took pictures at different stages and I thought it was over. I came back to it and continued working on it but every time I wanted to hide it at the bottom of the drawer Hahahha. Thank you for your kind words

Bea ..Bravo for trying new, it looks yummy to me. On my list too but looks too complicated. If I had to give any critique is maybe the background needs more blending?

Thank you for your kind words. The rest of the work in this case was desperation. I even thought about painting it with paint. I admit that I wanted to leave the drawing unfinished hahahha.  New techniques sometimes require a step-by-step approach, I guess I wasn't ready for that. I definitely don't have the heart for crayons... but I tried ;P

I am a master of none! Maybe water color i have gotten better at.  Not a lover of pastels . I definetly want to try more colored pencils in depth. So much to try.

OMG how many crayons do I need to overcome this. I think it's too complicated to start with and I overestimated my abilities. I wanted to try something new. I definitely wanted to sell the crayons I have while drawing... Do you have techniques that you haven't mastered?
