Cleaning my studio has been nagging at me for quite some time now, like really deeply cleaning it. As in re thinking what I need, want, care about, and can give away. Yes, give away! Usualy I keep EVERYTHING just in case because I do a lot of mixed media collage and some of that crap finds its way into my pieces. But my studio space has been bugging me instead of bringing me joy. I saw Chris' class a few weeks/months back and have been wanting to watch it and do the work. The New Year was the perfect launch, plus a lot of rainy indoor days meant it was time. I am so glad I did this and I am thrilled with the fun font labeling and specific sorting I did. I didn't let myself shove anything aside. Instead I dumped all those mystery bags and overstuffed bins into the middle of the floor. When I got overwhelmed I took a break.
