Nastursium from my garden
I have loved nasturtiums for a long time. They remind me of childhood when we would suck the nectar out of the flowers in the summer heat. Now I grow them as a ground cover and mulch for other plants. I eat them occasionally but not regularly. I try to have a range of colours and leaf variegation varieties in the garden. The picture below shows a bank of nasturtium acting as mulch for broad beans ( the white flowers with black dots).

I did a watercolour with a couple of flowers, some leaves and bud and a seeds. I particularly like the buds as the shapes are so interesting.
