What a fun class! This was a great weekend project. I made some watercolour background papers to use, decided they weren't bright enough, so made some funky textured ones with acrylics. 

 

The map was inspired by Java (where I live in Indonesia), which also has a slightly treacherous southern side, but not a Loch Ness Monster...

 

Definitely the kind of project I would do again, perhaps next time going to another galaxy.
