Thank you, Helen. I appreciate that you provided the drawing and the texture so I could concentrate on learning techniques.

Exactly why I do it Anna. When I am in a class and they tell me to make a project of my choice, I'm like a deer in the headlights and I worry about everything so much that I never get anything done. To that end I try to make it easy for anyone to practice because the class is about the coloring, not the drawing. I am so happy it worked well for you.

I hadn't tried Dodge and Burn before, so I decided to just use the image provided and follow the steps. The adjustment layers are a fun way to play with colours, and it was great to learn something new.
